Homeschoolers Learn and Socialize at Co-op Print
img_6130November 30, 2008 - Homeschoolers Sara Beth Camp, 15, Ashley Joye, 15, and Heather McDaniel, 16, share a quick photo during lunch at the Academy Days homeschool co-op before winter break begins.

The three girls agree that co-op classes in such subjects as marine biology, French and psychology have been interesting and challenging, but that the best feature of the co-op has been the new friends they have made.

Until co-op resumes in February, they plan to see each other at various homeschool social events and club meetings, such as Lunch Bunch and Photography Club.

Held weekly during the school year at Grace Community Church in Millbrook, Academy Days co-op is designed for high school and elementary students to learn subjects difficult to teach at home or best taught in group settings.
