Co-op Students Take Stock PDF Print E-mail
img00033November 6, 2009 - Homeschoolers Jake Dunn, 16, and Rachel Camp, 14, find themselves in the stocks during a recent field trip to American Village in Montevallo. The two homeschoolers, as well as onlookers Becca Camp, 6, and Brennan Herring, 12, and about 25 other homeschoolers from the Academy Days Homeschool Co-op in Millbrook, toured the replica village and learned about crime and punishment, military enlistment, and early American customs.

The field trip culminated their studies on early American history this semester.

The Academy Days co-op, held weekly during the school year at Grace Community Church in Millbrook, is designed for preschool through high school students to learn subjects difficult to teach at home or best taught in group settings.
