March 31, 2016 - Poodle skirts, bell bottoms and leg warmers clashed with leather jackets, cowboy hats and flapper dresses during the Decade Parade celebrating 10 years at Academy Days Co-op recently. Students dressed up to represent decades from the Roaring '20s through the Awesome '80s -- and even the 1880s and 1480s!
To commemorate Academy Days Co-op's 10th anniversary, students and parents dressed up in their favorite decade as they enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch. Pictured at left are the male and female costume contest winners from each third period history class. All costumed students and parents walked in the parade, and the contest winners received $10 gift cards.

Held at Coosada Baptist Church, the Academy Days Co-op meets weekly during the school year for homeschoolers to take classes that may be difficult to teach at home or best taught in group settings. More than 35 preschool though high school classes offer opportunities to learn such subjects as art, creative writing, Spanish, world history, computer programming, biology and chemistry.
