May 2016 - Local homeschoolers at Academy Days Co-op show off their healthy personal pizzas in beginning cooking class right before lunch.

Elmore resident Callie Littlefield, Deatsville resident Windsor Joye, Elmore resident Anthony Offutt, Montgomery resident Noah Brailsford and Deatsville resident Tyler Tatum have enjoyed learning how to plan and cook a variety of healthy meals this year. Favorite dishes include apple dumplings, biscuits, muffins and zuppa tuscana.

Held at Coosada Baptist Church, the Academy Days Co-op meets weekly during the school year for homeschoolers in preschool through high school to take classes in subjects such as art, creative writing, Spanish, world history, computer programming, P.E. and science labs.
